Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he made his debut on the professional music scene in 1968 as a member of The Jackson 5. He then began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group and was referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years. Jackson's 1982 album Thriller remains the world's best-selling album of all time.

pureNRG’s mission is to entertain, educate and promote Christian values for young people by using wholesome, uplifting lyrics, along with music and dance, in order to provide a positive role model.

Their purpose is to teach kids to be Godly and provide a positive “other” choice for their age group. They hope their music will cross all boundaries and that it is so powerful the world can’t help but notice.

There are few artists in the world that can claim they signed their first record deal at age 11.
Even fewer began the process at age 3. For Carolyne Meyers (11), Jordan Yates (14),
and Caroline Williams (11), it has been several hundred dance competitions, school plays,
and recitals that have brought them to this place from their initial meeting at a dance studio
eight years ago. As pureNRG, the three continue to make big strides completing their first studio album.

The sound and style of pureNRG closely aligns with the interests of the ever-growing “tween” market. Those who like High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Aly & AJ, and Radio Disney will absolutely love pureNRG!

I am Najiyah Threatt. I am going to tell you a few things about myself and my family, are you ready? OK here goes…

I turned 11 yrs old on 22^nd June. I live in Harlem with my Dad, Jerome, Mom, Donna and my little sister Gabrielle. We always have lots of fun together, especially singing. Apparently I started singing when I was 2 years old when my parents discovered me singing in the living room on Easter Sunday. I remember putting my ear against the radio and singing along to ‘Silver and Gold’ by Kirk Franklin. That was the first song I’d ever sung. I remember my parents peeking through the door to see what the noise was and seeing the tears of joy running down their face.

Since then I have been singing everywhere I can, especially at my Church (The United House of Prayer). I have also sung at the Hammerstein Ballroom and just recently I sung at Madison Square Garden and even managed to do some radio broadcasting on WWDJ970 !

My favorite singers are Yolanda Adams, Hilary Duff and Mary Mary. As well as singing I love to read and write but singing is my favorite passion.

Now I have just signed my first recording contract with Rhythmbank Entertainment and have been busy working on my first album. It has been a lot of fun and I have met some great people.
